Though she had been more low-key when the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic first began, Taylor Swift hasn’t been so silent as of late. Following the release of the full-length 2016 conversation between herself, Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West, she came forward to say that she felt vindicated after she was called a liar.
Then the “Cruel Summer” songstress came forward once more to denounce her former record label Big Machine Records and Scooter Braun for releasing Live From Clear Channel Stripped 2008, a live album that she did not give approval for. She called it, “just another case of shameless greed in the time of coronavirus.”
Still, the Lover songstress hasn’t used this time to simply clap back at others. She performed her iconic hit, “Soon You’ll Get Better” for the Global Citizens Together At Home initiative. She also announced to her fans that she would be pushing back Lover Fest until 2021. But what does the songstress do when she’s not online?
Taylor Swift will not be performing live in 2020
Though she was set to embark on a festival tour of Lover starting in the summer of 2020, the coronavirus crisis has forced the “London Boy” singer to alter her plans.
“I’m so sad I won’t be able to see you guys in concert this year, but I know this is the right decision,” the pop star tweeted on April 17. “Please, please stay healthy and safe. I’ll see you on stage as soon as I can but right now what’s important is committing to this quarantine, for the sake of all of us.”
The Red singer had only scheduled two North American dates on her tour, Lover Fest East (in Foxborough, Mass.) and Lover Fest West (in LA). Now that we know she won’t be performing live anywhere this year, it’s possible that her rescheduled 2021 Lover Fest will have expanded tour dates.

Fans believe Taylor Swift will make a major announcement on May 8
With Lover Fest scheduled for the future and no other projects on the horizon, Swifties are convinced that the 1989 songstress will share something special on May 8. On April 27 at 5:08 p.m., the singer shared a selfie with the caption, “Not a lot going on at the moment.” Now fans are losing their minds. After all 5 + 8 = 13, which is the singer’s favorite number.
Fans are absolutely convinced that somehow this means the singer is going to drop the music video for her hit single, “Cruel Summer” from the Lover album
Inside Taylor Swift’s quarantine routine
When she isn’t giving Swifties heart attacks, it looks like the 30-year-old is spending her days in quarantine just like the rest of us. The singer has been drinking wine, watching old movies, and sending money to fans in need. “I think right now we have to connect with our humanity more than we ever have before,” she told SiriusXM. “So, that’s one thing that I’ve been loving seeing is outreach, people being there for each other in this time.”
Like many of us, she is staying connected with her friends through video calls and cuddling with her cats. “During this time, I know that a lot of my friends and I have been doing a sort of weekly family FaceTime, which is always hilarious,” she said, according to the Daily Mail. “We may be all isolated physically but we can still keep in touch with people, we can still play games with our friends and families on our phones — that is one of the great things about modern technology.”
It appears that Swift is just trying to do her part to help while remaining positive like the rest of us.
